Agadir to Tafraout 1 day trip
130 kilometers south of Agadir Ammeln, in the valley's center, is the small Berber settlement of Tafraout, which is surrounded by numerous pink granite boulders of various shapes.Many argan, olive, and almond trees can be found in a grove.
The Festival of Lights "Tifawine" and almond trees are always present in the festival areas. This tough terrain has a lot of greenery, which lends it a unique attractiveness, particularly from December to February when the almond trees are in blossom.
Tafraoute is a great starting point for a number of excursions to explore this region of the Anti Atlas.Walking and cycling are wonderful alternatives to using a 4x4 to visit the villages of the Ammeln Valley and the paths that feature rock carvings.
Thirty kilometers south are the Ait Mansour gorges. The gorges of Ait Mansour open onto a series of small mountain oasis where the water is frequently abundant and rich valley after a twisting and startling path.
The settlement of Agard-Oudad, which is a few kilometers south of Tafraout, is dominated by a rock known as Napoleon's hat due to its peculiar shape and was painted by Belgian artist Jean Vérame.
The stunning valley Ammeln is made up of twenty characteristic little douars that cling to Jebel Lekst's slopes and end in a lovely alpine woodland.There are numerous rock art locations, including a gazelle carving, 1 km from Tafraoute in the little settlement of Tazzeka.
